I just watched the longest winning streak come to an end. It was not pretty.
People who can speak more intelligently than me (and many who can't, but well, that's football for you) will hash this out from now until probably the end of time (this is Columbus, you know. We don't forget anything around here). But I will say this: if Ted Ginn Jr. had to sit out the majority of the game, I'm glad he got that first play. Won't help much tonight, I'm sure, but it really was a beautiful run.
And what the hell was Tressel thinking on that 4th down play?
Anyway, it is long past my bedtime. I stayed up and watched until the bitter end. I know it makes no difference, but I just didn't want to leave them early. I always feel that way- they're my team, I'm going to stick with them. This is probably somehow genetic, given that the rest of the sports teams I cheer for are from Cleveland. If anyone knows how to stick it out to the end, it's a Cleveland fan.
