30x30 days 4, 5, and 6

Catching up:

Day 4- I helped paint the office, which was fun, but sweaty work
Day 5- I helped paint again, not as much
Day 6- I hauled library books back to the library and then groceries back to the house and cleaned up the kitchen.

yesterday was day 7, and I was a hot, cranky, sweaty mess and therefore, unless I count the entire thirty minute battle with my office door*, I did nothing. Which I'm not terribly bothered by, because, again, hot, sweaty, cranky mess.


*The office door sticks a little, regularly, but it has stuck shut twice in high humidity. The first time, I got into the office by going through the side door that leads to another classroom, which was luckily open, and then got the other door open by banging it out from the inside. However, yesterday, the side door was latched (which it should be- they do youth Sunday School in the adjacent class room, and we would like to prevent curious preteens from entering our office), so that plan was a no-go. I struggled with the door awhile, pulling on it with all my weight behind it, and it wouldn't budge. So, then I marched down to the grocery and bought a can of WD-40 to see if that would help, but it did not. Finally, I conceded defeat and called my boss, who said she'd bring the sander with her when she came in. One of the church caretakers happened by while I was sitting outside waiting, and he came up and got the door open for me. My boss sanded it down, so hopefully, that will solve the sticking issue and I won't have to do this again.
